This account deletion policy applies to the Variable Resistance Training mobile application developed and published by Soumbos Osteopathy on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

At Soumbos Osteopathy, we respect your right to control your personal data. This page outlines the process for deleting your account and what happens to your data when you do.

You can delete your account directly from the Variable Resistance Training app (available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store) by following these steps:

Open the Variable Resistance Training App
Navigate to the “Profile” tab in the bottom navigation bar
Tap on “Settings” (gear icon in the top right corner)
Scroll down and select “Account Settings”
Tap on “Delete Account”
Review the information about account deletion
Enter your password to confirm
Tap “Delete My Account” to confirm your decision

What Happens to Your Data

Data That Will Be Deleted:

When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed from our active systems:

Personal profile information (email address)
Custom exercises and programs you’ve created
Workout logs and history with date/time information
Exercise details including reps, sets, duration, weight, and resistance levels
RPE (Rate of Perceived Exertion) tracking data
User notes and observations about workouts
Personal equipment inventory (“My Equipment”)
Resistance band specifications and resistance calculations
Equipment quantity tracking and custom equipment specifications
Progress measurements and analytics data
Saved favorites and preferences
Customization settings (themes, data saver mode preferences)
Timer settings and notification preferences

Data That May Be Retained:

Some information may be retained for legal and business purposes:

Financial Records: If you made purchases, transaction records may be retained for 7 years as required by applicable accounting and tax laws. These records will not include complete payment details.

Pseudonymised Audit Logs: We keep a lightweight record of two lifecycle events—”consent_given” and “account_deleted”—containing only (i) a salted SHA-256 hash of your user ID (not reversible to your identity), (ii) the event timestamp, and (iii) minimal contextual metadata (e.g., terms version or deletion method). These audit records are retained for up to six (6) years to satisfy legal-compliance obligations.

Anonymized Usage Data: Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics may be retained for analytics purposes but will not be personally identifiable.

Backup Systems: Your data may remain in encrypted backup systems for up to 90 days before being permanently purged.
Legal Requirements: Information may be retained if required by law, court order, or to detect/prevent fraud.
Subscription Management

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel any active subscriptions. To avoid being charged, please cancel your subscription before deleting your account:

For iOS users: Manage subscriptions through Apple App Store settings
For Android users: Manage subscriptions through Google Play Store settings
